Delivery information

Every Flint order is dispatched from within the United Kingdom on a tracked service. We do not ship from overseas, and there is never anything to pay on arrival — no customs charge, no handling fee, no surprise at the door.

Where we deliver

We deliver to addresses across the United Kingdom: England, Scotland, Wales, Northern Ireland, the Isle of Man and the Channel Islands.

We cannot deliver to PO boxes, because our carriers require a signature or a safe-place confirmation for tracked parcels.

What it costs

Service Cost Typical time
Standard £4.99 2–4 working days
Standard, orders £50 and over Free 2–4 working days
Express £6.99 1–2 working days

Delivery is charged once per order, not per item. The cost is shown in full at checkout before you pay.

When your order leaves us

Orders placed before 2pm on a working day are usually picked the same day and dispatched within one working day. Orders placed at a weekend or on a bank holiday are picked the next working day.

The times in the table above run from dispatch, not from the moment you order. Allow one working day for dispatch on top.

You will get two emails: one confirming the order, and one when it leaves the warehouse. The second carries your tracking number.

Scottish Highlands, islands and Northern Ireland

We charge the same delivery rate everywhere in the UK. Some remote postcodes are slower to reach, and carriers may add one to two working days:

AB31–38, AB40–56, FK17–21, HS1–9, IV1–63, KA27–28, KW1–17, PA20–38, PA41–49, PA60–78, PH15–50, ZE1–3, BT (Northern Ireland), IM (Isle of Man), GY and JE (Channel Islands).

Express is not available to these postcodes. If you order it by mistake we will refund the difference rather than let you pay for a service the carrier cannot run.

Tracking

Your dispatch email carries a tracking link. You can also follow an order on our tracking page, which updates automatically as the carrier scans the parcel.

Tracking can take up to 24 hours to show its first movement. A number that shows nothing yet on the day of dispatch is normal.

If you are not in

Our carriers will attempt delivery, then leave a card explaining how to rearrange or where the parcel has been left. Most will let you nominate a safe place or a neighbour through the tracking link.

If a parcel is returned to us as undelivered after the carrier's attempts, we will refund the goods but not the outbound delivery charge.

Checking your order on arrival

Open the box before your electrician does. Glass shades, plaster and ceramic travel well in our packaging but are not indestructible, and it is far easier to resolve a breakage before a fitting has been wired in.

If anything has arrived damaged, photograph it in the packaging and tell us within 48 hours. We will replace it. Do not install a fitting you believe to be damaged.

If something has gone wrong

If your tracking has not moved for three working days, or your order has not arrived within ten working days of dispatch, contact us with your order number. We will chase the carrier ourselves rather than asking you to do it, and come back to you within one working day.

Our full terms are set out in our terms and conditions. Changed your mind? See returns.
