Where it works. On a side table beside a chair, or a bedside table. The top of the shade sits at about 420mm, which is roughly eye level when you are seated.

How much light. A pool of warm light rather than room lighting. Good to read beside; not enough to light a room on its own.

Dimming. Yes, with a compatible LED bulb and a plug-in or trailing-edge dimmer. There is an inline switch on the flex.
